WARMCORE BIFOLDING DOORS

Tradesmith Ltd are proud to add to our extensive product range, the WarmCore aluminium bi-folding door system

Practical for everyday use

The innovative design of WarmCore folding sliding doors enables you to split the door sashes in whichever way suits your customer’s home. You can have all the sashes fold to the right or left, or have them split in any combination you choose.

A popular configuration is to have a single door at one end, called a traffic door. This allows you to leave the majority of the door sashes locked in place, using a single door for everyday use. In addition, certain door configurations offer even more practicality, as the door sashes that meet in the middle, or at one end, can be used as a set of French doors - when you don’t need, or want, the doors fully open.

This flexibility enables you to use the WarmCore folding sliding doors in a way that suits you, rather than being forced to fully open them every time. Leave that until you’re entertaining or when the day is so good it deserves to be let in.

Strong Construction Built for Unparalleled Security

From the unique 5 point lock, designed to run the full length of the door sash, to the high strength hinges and rollers; each element of the WarmCore door combines to ensure optimum security.

WarmCore’s aluminium construction, custom-made roller assemblies, sitting deep within the top and bottom tracks and extruded aluminium hinges make them inherently strong and secure. Added security features such as integral dog-bolts bind the door sashes together when closed, protecting against forced entry.

A custom designed door lock, available on no other door system, uses a 5 point locking system with 3 opposed hook locks and twin shoot bolts, that engage fully into the aluminium top and bottom tracks.

For added peace of mind choose the optional laminate glass upgrade – giving WarmCore doors Secured by Design accreditation - the official UK Police initiative ‘designing out crime’ through physical security. Every WarmCore door is independently certified to PAS24:2012, the benchmark in enhanced security performance requirements for doorsets and windows in the UK.

PAS24 and Secure By Design (SBD) compatibility as standard provides peace of mind for end users. WarmCore doors have been independently third party tested by a UKAS laboratory to prove impressive structural strength and security credentials

Ease of installation

The WarmCore folding sliding door has been designed to be as fitter-friendly as possible. The innovative clip-in bead design makes it easy to glaze without the need for wedge gaskets and all round concealed fixings provide improved aesthetics. The clever aluminium track design also enables a quick all-in-one fitting procedure without the need for de-sashing, if required.

Ease of adjustment

To aid perfect trouble free installations plain hinges, pivot roller hinges and espag hinges provide +/- 1mm adjustment to cater for ne tolerances on site. Single roller and double ‘pivot’ rollers provide +/- 3mm vertical adjustment for precision installation.

Fast clip-in hinge adjustment packers allow for quick yet precise adjustment and ne-tuning on site.

Part M Low Threshold

Part M compliant inward opening aluminium low threshold
helps complete the range of threshold and cill options, making WarmCore one of the most versatile folding sliding door systems on the market.

The WarmCore Advantage U-Value Performance

Using standard 28mm double glazing the WarmCore folding sliding door achieves a U-value of 1.5 W/m2 K. Upgrading to low-E glass gives an improved U-value of 1.4 W/m2 K, while a U-value as low as 1.0 W/m2 K is achievable using 44mm triple glazing. The advantage against traditional aluminium doors is clear, with many struggling to meet current legislation.

WarmCore has been designed from the ground up to offer market leading thermal performance, protecting against future tightening of Building Regulations – Part L.
